Debut release from Chicago based progressive rock band. District 97 features former American Idol finalist Leslie Hunt on vocals. Another notable member is Chicago Symphony Orchestra cellist Katinka Kleijn. Complex progressive rock mixed with pop influences with much crossover appeal.

I received the vinyl version of "For king and country" today through justforkicks Germany. Such a wonderful album in this rerecorded version. I did own the Si-music version on CD many year ago, but sold it for reasons back in the days. This new version is a complete different thing. A real gem. It brings back memories and is something completely new and different at the same time. Happy have the digital version as well for my outdoor music time. Thanks a lot. Mr. Richman jr.

BBT are standard bearers for modern prog, with a sound that evokes the spirit of those legendary 70s bands whilst managing to also be thoroughly contemporary. It's astonishing that over 30 minutes of music of this quality, with such high production values, is being made available for free - and their full albums are also very reasonably priced...
